Hi Blog,

It is about time, we had a serious chat.
For a while now, I am filling you up with all kinds of crap; at first, I didn't take this too seriously. In fact, I did it all unnoticed; up until - and including - last February hardly anyone knew about you.
There had been some 40 readers in some six months; mostly occupational stuff and lost googlers...

   In March something happened.
I started writing to you daily, and I started filling you up with all kinds of 'lost pieces'.
At first, I was driven by newspapers, health-care, (social) media, and all kinds of random issues. Later on, I became more personal; I even started to get very intimate with you.
I let you in on some of my darker issues, like my youth, my addictions, my failures.
Ultimately, I even accused you of giving me the opportunity, of raising my Bad Voice.

   I always liked to talk to you about Science; in the absence of a real audience, you always take interest in my crazy imaginary propostions of reality.
Not many can handle that, but you are a patient Listener; only Biased by little old me.
It is a bit like playing chess against myself; but against you, I do not always win.
A lot of my talks with you, end in a draw; I like that, the Idea that you are not stronger then I am. Plus the notion, that you will never talk back at me...

   At some point, I started writing in English; first I translated some of my Dutch pieces.
Since that was a very troublesome exercise via Google Translate, I had to give that up.
There are a lot of things, that cannot be translated from Dutch, and English is one of them...
You see what I mean? Only you could understand a joke like that...
So, in the end, I started to fill you up with Eng(l)ish stuff...

   One of the reasons I did this, was in fact narcissism; I wanted to make sure, anybody could read this.
There was also a 'profound' reason for this; we had readers from the USA, Russia, Germany, Italy, UK, Brazil, Turkey, France, and the United Arabic Emirates... And then some from Holland...
Can you imagine, that all of them can read Dutch? No way...
So I started English, and you went along with it; your spell-checker sucks, by the way: it's Double Dutch...

   Good things happened, since then.
We now have a staggering 800 views, coming from all over the world, divided over some 60 pieces, over a period of just five weeks!
Even when - and if - we subtract the obligatory counts from Twitter and BlogSpot, there are still about 650 left, and at least 150 of them come more often...
I praise myself lucky, that they do not want to interview me; so far...
Let us knock on wood...

   The last thing I need, is customers; unless they pay me...
It is fine by me, that they are reading my stuff.
But I am not responsible...
