We are living in strange times:
There is a black man in the White House, Larry King has given up television, and Jeff Ross is The Head Roaster at Comedy Central. (a free citation of @LisaLampanelli).
On top of that, my dissertation on the Artist Paradox is the favourite piece on my blog, last week.
Only second to floowwers paradox; last month's favourite; together these two pieces got 60 views... Which is 10% of the total number of 'real views', on My Blog. Social Media work in Mysterious Ways...
To me, this raises two questions: what is it with Writers, and what about their supposed Followers?
I already explained my views on the writing 'profession'; it is not a profession at all, although it might be considered a Hobby - see my essays on Hobby's - which may well lead to anything, worth reading. To be totally honest, the only thing I write that sells for money, is software; and I consider myself very lucky. There are a lot of writers, that sell nothing...
Next to that, I placed the concept of The Follower in my just perspective.
Most followers, are just in it for some action; they do not really read you, believe you, or even follow you. Most of them, you will never meet, let alone know; these contacts Follow the Friendship Paradox. Chances are, they are stalking you...
Runner up in third place is my trilogy about The Message Paradoxes, parts I - III. See elsewhere...
Therein, I expand on the issues which involve bringing across messages.
I take the whole concept apart, turn it inside out; exposing Truth, next to Lies; next to that I make fun of people who do this, and make all participants look ridiculous.
Luckily, I also make fun of my Self; and luckily I am having fun doing this...
In short: I give you The Writers Paradox; no further citation needed...
